We practiced our number poems today...we are very good! Ask your child to recite one for you at home. We know number 1-9 and they go like this:
-A straight line down makes a one. Writing numbers can be fun!
-Around the bend and back to you, this is known as the number two.
-Around the tree, around the tree, this is known as the number three.
-Half way down and then take a right, add a stick and the four is in sight.
-The number five has a big fat tummy and with his hat he looks so funny.
-Pull the line down and then go around, the number six can be found.
-Acroos the sky and down from heaven, this is known as the number seven.
-Make an S but do not wait, go back to the top for the number eight.
-Make an oval and then a line, this is known as the number nine.
We made one up for 10-Make a one and add a zero, the number ten is now our hero!
